Makeshift Magazine was an independent arts publication based in Tāmaki Makaurau from August 2006 until November 2008.
Their bio stated:
"Makeshift Magazine is a unique, contributor-based publication that showcases new work from fresh, local artists. It offers new and up-and-coming artists the opportunity to be exposed to a new audience, and gives readers the opportunity to celebrate what their community has to offer. Content ranges from stories to articles, poems to comics, photography to illustration, design to anything else that can be published in the printed medium and we think would make you smile."
