Nate Tamblyn is an Ōtautahi Christchurch-based comic writer and videogame developer. They are the Co-Founder and Narrative Designer at Fnife Games, a game studio focused on queer, nostalgic, narrative-driven games, established around 2019. .[1][2][3]
They have lived in one house their entire life. That house has always been in Christchurch, even with all the shakes. As of 2014, they and their friend Alex Cara published their first graphic novel, Nothing Fits. They are now collaborating with another friend, Bethany Hughston, a Sydney-based artist, on a comic project called Rosetta Phone. Alongside that, they have been working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury, majoring in Sculpture. Most recently focused on ceramics, needle felting and digital mediums, they have contrasted and combined this within their sculpture practice.[4]
Two interesting facts about them are that they collect the small packets of sugar supplied on tables at cafés, and that they currently have ten rats. Which is quite a lot of rats to have.[4]
