Rat World Issue Seven: Queer Takeover is the upcoming seventh issue of Rat World Magazine, planned for publication on the 4th of July 2024. It will be published by Selcouthbird Press. The issue is a collaboration with Auckland Pride, known as "The Queer Takeover Edition", submissions for the issue are due on the 29th of February 2024.[1][2] On the 24th of February 2024, Jean Teng, a writer and Food Editor for Metro Magazine, was announced as the issue's guest editor.[3] The magazine has an initial print run of 250 copies.[4]

Launch event[]

The launch event (In collaboration with Auckland Pride, K Road Business Association, and Burnett Foundation) is set to be held at Open Coffee on Karangahape Road, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland on Thursday the 4th of July 2024 for First Thursdays.[5] The same location as the launch party of Rat World Issue Three. The event will feature poetry live readings from Jennifer Rockwell and Zephyr Zhang, and live music performances by Jason Parker, RNG+SUS, and Blush.mp3.[5]
