Ruth Boyask is a comic artist and associate professor at AUT, based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She used to make comics about things like supermarket trollies and frogs. But she stopped. Some people say it's because she doesn't really like comics; other people say it's because she does. Debra Boyask is her sister.
