was a postgraduate student in English literature at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Her Masters thesis entitled A Stain on Silence: The Registration of Trauma in the Comics Memoirs of Alison Bechdel and Art Spiegelman was about autobiography and authenticity in the comics memoirs Maus, by Art Spiegelman, and Fun Home, by Alison Bechdel. Sarah grew up in Wellington and has a BA (Hons) in English Literature and French from Victoria. She has published work elsewhere including a chapter in Negotiating Culture Through Comics edited by Maciej Sulmicki.
